The BBC has secured a deal to broadcast the FIA World Rally Championship (WRC) across the UK from 2027 to 2029. This new agreement will bring all 14 WRC rounds each season to audiences, featuring five live stages and the power stage from every rally.
The comprehensive coverage will also include 14 one-hour highlights programmes, digital clips, and additional content across various BBC platforms. Rally Scotland, marking the country's first WRC round since 2019, is set to receive extensive live coverage across all four days of competition, offering free-to-air access for UK audiences.
Hugh Chambers, CEO of Motorsport UK, stated that the BBC agreement provides Rally Scotland and the wider WRC with a national platform from 2027, aiming to engage existing fans and attract new audiences to the sport.
