A Birmingham waste company, Greener Lifestyle Limited, has been ordered to pay a total of nearly £24,000 following a prosecution by the Environment Agency. The company must also comply with a Remediation Order to clear all waste from its Trent Street site in Birmingham within six months.

At Birmingham Magistrates’ Court on 14 September 2026, Greener Lifestyle Limited pleaded guilty to three charges. These included failing to comply with environmental permit regulations and formal notices to stop waste operations.

The company was fined £10,000, ordered to pay costs of £11,796.50, and a victim surcharge of £2,000. The Environment Agency's investigation found that the company continued waste operations without the required environmental permit after its initial waste exemptions were de-registered.
