"Monster: The Lizzie Borden Story," the latest installment in Ryan Murphy's Netflix true-crime series, premieres today, September 17. The drama focuses on Lizzie Borden, who was the prime suspect in the 1892 axe murders of her father, Andrew Borden, and stepmother, Abby Borden.

Lizzie Borden was arrested and tried for both murders in June 1893 but was acquitted. The case, which remains unsolved, has been the subject of a nursery rhyme, books, and films.

The series features Ella Beatty as Lizzie Borden, Vicky Krieps as maid Bridget Sullivan, Rebecca Hall as Abby Borden, and Charlie Hunnam as Andrew Borden.
