Pop-punk stalwarts Blink-182 have marked the 25th anniversary of their seminal 2001 album, 'Take Off Your Pants And Jacket', with a special reissue. Released via Geffen Records, this new edition not only features the original 13 tracks that solidified the band's status but also compiles six bonus songs that have, until now, only been available on various physical editions of the album at the time of its initial release.
The bonus tracks, which include titles such as 'Time to Break Up', 'Mother’s Day', 'What Went Wrong', 'Fuck a Dog', 'Don’t Tell Me It’s Over', and 'When You F***ed Grandpa', will be presented together on a single release for the very first time. This compilation offers fans a comprehensive collection of material from that era, bringing together tracks that previously required collecting multiple versions of the album to access.
'Take Off Your Pants And Jacket' was a significant release for Blink-182, featuring fan favourites like 'Stay Together For The Kids' and 'The Rock Show'. It also made history by becoming the first punk-rock album to debut at Number One in the United States, underscoring the band's commercial and cultural impact at the turn of the millennium.
The reissue follows a period of renewed activity for the band, including their 2023 album 'One More Time…', which was their first record in over a decade featuring the original line-up of Mark Hoppus, Tom DeLonge, and Travis Barker. They also completed a major 'Missionary Impossible' tour last year, indicating their continued presence in the music scene.
Looking ahead, Blink-182 has already announced their first live dates for 2027, with headline performances confirmed for major European festivals Rock Am Ring and Rock Im Park. These announcements suggest that despite their long history, the band remains an active force, continuing to engage with their fanbase through new releases and live performances.
