Oxfordshire's Truck Festival confirmed it shut down a food truck, Yorky Roast, on Sunday after numerous attendees reported feeling unwell. Social media posts documented dozens of people claiming illness after consuming meals from the stall over the weekend.
The festival's spokesperson stated that their health and safety team launched an immediate investigation on Sunday morning after receiving reports from attendees with similar symptoms. The suspected source, a third-party food vendor, was removed from operation within 90 minutes of the first report.
The issue has been reported to Vale of White Horse District Council's environmental health team. The council confirmed it is investigating a "potential food poisoning outbreak" and is working with the food business, Truck Festival, UKHSA, and the trader's local registering authority. Event Mobile Catering Limited, which operates the stall, was contacted for comment.
