Konami is set to celebrate the 40th anniversary of its gothic horror action-adventure game series, Castlevania, with a trio of orchestral concerts. These 'Castlevania 40th Anniversary: An Orchestral Concert' events are planned for early 2027 in Tokyo, London, and LA, with exact details to be announced soon.
The franchise, which began in 1986 with 'Castlevania' and 'Vampire Killer', has since seen numerous sequels, spin-offs, and two Netflix series. To mark the occasion, Konami is also making various games in the franchise cheaper, making series music available to stream, and releasing select soundtracks on vinyl. The original Castlevania soundtrack and music from 1997's Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night are confirmed for vinyl release, and music from Castlevania Black & Red will be available to stream tomorrow, September 26.
Castlevania producers stated on the dedicated anniversary site that they are offering the original Castlevania app for free for a limited time to celebrate with supporters. They also mentioned special discount sales on other series titles and celebratory videos, with various future developments planned for the series.
