Novak Djokovic and Aryna Sabalenka are confirmed to play together in the upcoming US Open mixed doubles. The Serbian, 39, and Belarusian, 28, will join forces for the two-day event, which is scheduled to begin on August 25 in New York.
The mixed doubles format was controversially revamped last year to include superstar pairings. Other notable entrants include Jack Draper reuniting with Jessica Pegula, and last year's runners-up Iga Swiatek and Casper Ruud also teaming up again.
Despite some leading names reportedly considering a boycott over Grand Slam revenue demands, players like Sabalenka, Swiatek, and Pegula have signed up. However, Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner, two of the top male players, have not entered. Alcaraz is recovering from a wrist injury, while Sinner has pulled out of the Canadian Open to prioritise his health.
The entry window for the event closes on August 17. The six teams with the best combined singles ranking will gain direct entry, with eight wildcards and two places decided by a qualifying round on August 24.
