Ozzy Osbourne was advised by doctors not to perform his farewell show in Birmingham, according to his widow Sharon Osbourne. Despite the medical advice, the legendary musician reunited with Black Sabbath for the "Back to the Beginning" concert at Villa Park on July 5, 2025.
Speaking to Rolling Stone, Sharon Osbourne recounted that a team of six doctors, specialists for his heart, Parkinson's, and lungs, assessed him in England. She stated that they advised against the show, warning it "would kill him."
Osbourne reportedly insisted on performing, saying, "It's not an option. It's what I want." He added, "I know I'm dying. If I miss a few months of my life, I want to go this way."
Ozzy Osbourne died on July 22, weeks after the concert. A film of the final performance, titled "Ozzy & Black Sabbath: Back to the Beginning," is scheduled for release in cinemas on October 28.
