Kenya Airways has stated that the 'industrial action by air traffic control workers' is causing delays exceeding six hours and has led to the cancellation of some departures. The airline has apologised for the disruption and is allowing passengers to change or reschedule flights without penalty.
RwandAir also cancelled two flights on Monday, citing 'operational constraints affecting air traffic control services' at the airport, following similar cancellations on Sunday.
