Forest agree club-record £50m deal for Delap; Chelsea in Jackson talks with Villa

Nottingham Forest have agreed a £50m deal to sign Liam Delap from Chelsea, a club record for Forest. Chelsea have also opened talks with Aston Villa regarding the sale of Nicolas Jackson.

  • Nottingham Forest will pay £45m plus £5m in add-ons for Liam Delap.
  • Chelsea are hoping to sell Nicolas Jackson, valued at £65m, to Aston Villa.
  • West Ham's El Hadji Malick Diouf is likely to join Brentford for about £35m.

Nottingham Forest have agreed a club-record deal worth £50m to secure Liam Delap from Chelsea. The transfer for the 23-year-old striker includes £45m upfront and an additional £5m in add-ons.

Delap, who joined Chelsea for £30m last summer, managed only one league goal last season and faced injury setbacks. Forest manager Oliver Glasner reportedly targeted Delap as a key signing, offering him a chance to revive his career at the City Ground.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have initiated talks with Aston Villa over the sale of Nicolas Jackson. The Senegal international, valued at £65m, spent last season on loan at Bayern Munich and is seen by Villa as a potential replacement for Ollie Watkins.

In other transfer news, West Ham's El Hadji Malick Diouf is expected to join Brentford for around £35m. Discussions between the clubs for the left-back are ongoing, with an agreement anticipated soon.
