A new animated adaptation of Dame Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler's picture book, 'The Baddies', will feature the voices of Welsh actor Rob Brydon and some of his 'Gavin and Stacey' co-stars. The half-hour special is scheduled to air on the BBC during the Christmas period.
Brydon will voice Ghost, while Sheridan Smith and Alison Steadman, who also appeared with him in the popular sitcom, are also part of the cast. Hammed Animashaun will voice Troll, Robyn Cara will be Girl, and Francesca Mills will serve as the narrator.
The story of 'The Baddies' follows a girl with a blue spotty hanky who moves near the titular characters – a troll, a ghost, and a witch. The BBC and production company Magic Light Pictures state that the special celebrates courage, kindness, and standing up to bullies.
