Brit Award-winning artist RAYE has announced that her team is manually reviewing sign-ups for her one-off Royal Albert Hall show, after the process was 'overwhelmed' by scalpers.
The singer shared on Instagram on Tuesday, 13 October, that more than 1.8 million people signed up for just 5,000 tickets to the event scheduled for 23 October. To prevent scalpers from exploiting a pre-sale, the team is identifying a shortlist of 'real fans'.
Those selected fans will receive a pre-sale link and code via email today at 11:45pm BST, with the pre-sale opening at 12pm. Any remaining tickets will then be released for general sale. RAYE expressed that she had 'never witnessed bots on this scale' and that the experience had 'really opened my eyes' regarding future ticketing.
