Former snooker champion Graeme Dott has been removed from World Snooker’s Hall of Fame following his conviction for sexually abusing two primary school age children. Dott, aged 49, was found guilty on Monday, August 24, 2026, of two counts of lewd, indecent and libidinous behaviour.
World Snooker confirmed on Tuesday, August 25, 2026, that it had taken the decision to remove Dott from the World Snooker Tour Hall of Fame with immediate effect. The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) also responded to the court verdict by permanently revoking Dott’s membership, a decision made unanimously at an emergency board meeting.
A five-day trial at the High Court in Glasgow heard details of the abuse. One victim, a woman now in her 40s, described multiple incidents of abuse between 1993 and 1996. The second victim, a man now in his late 20s, stated he was sexually abused on multiple occasions between 2006 and 2010.
