Experimental artist Jane Remover has withdrawn from the M3F Fest after urging organisers to remove the Israeli band Temper City from the line-up. Jane Remover had previously stated on August 5 that they would refuse to play the event unless the alt-rock trio was taken off the bill.
The artist cited the group's alleged connections to the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) as the reason for their stance. Temper City's frontman, Eytan Peled, has reportedly spoken about his time in the IDF, where service is mandatory for most Israeli citizens from age 18.
An updated festival line-up now shows Jane Remover's name absent, while Temper City remains listed. Flying Lotus has been added to the same spot previously occupied by Jane Remover. Neither band nor M3F Fest organisers have publicly commented on the change.
