Kia has launched the EV4 GT, an electric hot hatchback designed to rival the Volkswagen Golf GTI. Priced at £49,345, the EV4 GT features dual motors, all-wheel drive, and an 81.4kWh lithium-ion battery.
The vehicle can accelerate from zero to 62mph in 5.6 seconds and has a top speed of 105mph. Its official WLTP driving range is 313 miles, with a maximum charging speed of 128kW.
Standard equipment on the GT specification includes intelligent LED headlights, heated and ventilated front seats, 360-degree parking cameras, and an eight-speaker Harman Kardon sound system. The car also comes with Kia's seven-year, 100,000-mile warranty.
The EV4 GT is distinguishable by its beefier bumpers, gloss-black trim, neon green brake calipers, and 20-inch alloy wheels. Inside, it features neon green accents on the seatbelts and dashboard, alloy pedals, and bucket seats trimmed in faux leather and suede.
This model is the first GT developed by Manfred Harrer, Kia’s head of R&D since 2025. It slots into the range alongside the EV3 GT crossover and EV5 GT SUV, and is expected to be the best-seller among the trio.
