Kim Le Court, representing Mauritius, has claimed the overall leader's green jersey after winning stage three of the Lloyd's Tour of Britain Women. The AG Insurance-Soudal rider, 30, powered away from rivals on the final climb in Llandudno, north Wales, finishing 13 seconds ahead of Germany's Liane Lippert.
Le Court now holds a 26-second lead over Lippert in the general classification. Last year, Le Court also led the race before crashing out on the second stage.
The Tour of Britain Women has been under scrutiny regarding safety following the death of Fin Tarling a week ago during the Volta a Portugal, where he was hit by a van. Maeve Plouffe, a rider in the current race, also posted on social media about encountering general public cars on the course.
Britain's Lauren Dickson of FDJ United-Suez secured the blue queen of the mountains jersey. The penultimate stage four, a 138.3km hilly race to Hay on Wye, is scheduled for Saturday.
