Liverpool manager Andoni Iraola has confirmed the club intends to sign additional players before the summer transfer window concludes on September 1. Iraola admitted to Sky Sports that his squad is "still quite thin" in certain areas.
The Reds are looking to bolster their ranks following the departures of Mohamed Salah, Ibrahima Konate, and Curtis Jones, alongside a long-term injury to Hugo Ekitike. This summer has seen the arrivals of winger Victor Munoz and defender Ronaldo Araujo, with Jeremey Jacquet also joining Anfield after a £55m deal agreed in February.
Iraola noted that some deals require more time to finalise, stating, "Some deals you have to wait until the end." The club has been actively seeking reinforcements, particularly on the wings. Liverpool has held an interest in PSG winger Bradley Barcola, though negotiations with PSG reportedly show a valuation gap, with the European champions demanding £145m. A recent £50m bid for Brighton winger Yankuba Minteh was also turned down.
