Liverpool made a deadline day attempt to bring Chelsea's 23-year-old France right-back Malo Gusto to Anfield on a loan deal. However, the move did not come to fruition as Chelsea were reportedly only interested in a permanent transfer for the player.

Elsewhere, Manchester United striker Chido Obi, 18, is said to be seeking a loan move to either the Netherlands or his native Denmark. Both countries have transfer windows that close on Wednesday, with Feyenoord reportedly among the interested clubs.

In other transfer news, Everton were reportedly interested in AS Monaco full-back Jordan Teze, 26, but the Ligue 1 club's management vetoed the Netherlands international's exit. Additionally, England defender Fikayo Tomori will be reinstated into Ruben Amorim's AC Milan squad after resisting a move away from the Serie A side.
