A man has been found guilty of raping a teenage girl he abducted from a park in Boston, Lincolnshire. Jay Savage, 33, was convicted by a jury at Lincoln Crown Court on Monday.
The court heard that in March, Savage followed the girl into a dark area of Central Park, grabbed her, and threatened her. CCTV showed him taking the girl to his hotel, where he filmed himself sexually assaulting her.
The girl told the court she believed Savage had a knife after he told her: "Don't scream or I'm going to slit your throat." She also stated he told her: "You can't run because if you do there is a car and they will shoot you straight away."
Savage, who denied the charges, was found guilty of abduction, rape, and taking indecent photographs of a child. The court also heard he had a previous conviction for stalking.
Judge Catarina Sjolin-Knight adjourned sentencing until 27 November for a report on Savage to be prepared. He has been remanded into custody.
