Melanie C, the former Sporty Spice from the Spice Girls, has released a new clubby album called Sweat. In an exclusive interview, she spoke about her raver days in the early 90s, her love of Scouse cuisine and her experiences with the Spice Girls' mania.
When asked about her acid remix of Jessie Ware's Free Yourself, Melanie C revealed that she was a hardcore raver back in the early 90s. She discovered raving on her first holiday without parents in Ibiza and went on to experience the UK's rave scene.
Melanie C also spoke about her time with the Spice Girls, saying she 'did receive bottles on stage. There might have been urine' during the height of their fame. She also discussed her date with a member of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, although she didn't reveal any further details.
In addition to her music career, Melanie C has also expressed her love of Scouse cuisine, including Scouse and Liverpool's Bombed-Out Church. She has also covered Sex Pistols songs in her live performances.
