Two top teams in the One-Day Cup continued their perfect starts on Sunday, with Middlesex and holders Worcestershire achieving contrasting wins.
Middlesex dominated their opponents, Glamorgan, dismissing them for just 66 and then requiring only 9.1 overs to reach their victory target. The only side to have won their first three matches, Middlesex's performance was highlighted by a strong bowling effort from Naavya Sharma, Toby Roland-Jones, and Noah Cornwell, who combined to take 10 wickets for 45 runs.
Worcestershire, on the other hand, edged out Hampshire in a dramatic finale at New Road. Chasing 308, Hampshire needed 48 runs to win with 21 balls remaining and one wicket in hand, but were ultimately defeated by a single run. Andrew Neal's late hitting took Hampshire to the brink of an astonishing success, but he was dismissed by Fateh Singh, securing Worcestershire's victory.
Elsewhere in the competition, former England Test batters Keaton Jennings and Tom Westley struck centuries in wins for Lancashire and Essex respectively, while Ben Coad claimed a maiden five-wicket haul in white-ball cricket as Yorkshire thrashed Sussex.
