Myles Lewis-Skelly scored for Arsenal in their 1-1 friendly draw with Italian club Como on Wednesday, despite ongoing transfer speculation surrounding the 19-year-old. Lewis-Skelly has been linked with Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United.
Starting in midfield, Lewis-Skelly netted in the 33rd minute at Emirates Stadium, capitalising on an error from Como goalkeeper Jean Butez. He celebrated by making a heart sign to the crowd and tapping the club badge on his shirt.
Como, managed by former Arsenal midfielder Cesc Fabregas, equalised in the 43rd minute through Martin Baturina. Arsenal ultimately secured a 4-3 victory in the penalty shootout, with new signing Bruno Guimaraes among the penalty scorers.
Guimaraes, who joined Arsenal from Newcastle for £75 million on Saturday, made his debut for the Gunners, coming on at half-time. Lewis-Skelly was replaced in the 62nd minute by Mikel Merino.
