British singer-songwriter Rex Orange County, real name Alexander James O’Connor, performed with Tyler, The Creator and Turnstile’s Brendan Yates in London this week.
On Thursday, August 27, O'Connor performed an intimate show at Village Underground where he brought out Brendan Yates as a surprise guest. They debuted an unreleased track titled 'Elvis', which features a guitar riff, cinematic string arrangements, and flute.
The Village Underground performance served as a warm-up for Tyler, The Creator’s All Points East takeover. Rex Orange County later appeared on stage during Tyler's headline performance on Friday, August 28, to perform 'Boredom', a collaboration from Tyler's 2017 album 'Flower Boy'.
Tyler, The Creator's All Points East event also featured performances from artists such as Turnstile, Mariah The Scientist, Clipse, Sexyy Red, Ravyn Lenae, Fakemink, and Vince Staples. The second night of Tyler's takeover, on August 29, included Daniel Caesar, Baby Keem, Dijon, Ghostface Killah, Syd, Faye Webster, Danny Brown, and Jim Legxacy.
Earlier in August, Rex Orange County released a new single, 'Indecision', which featured Daniel Caesar.
