Royal Blood attracted a significant crowd to The Gallery tent at Reading 2026 today, Friday, August 28, for their "surprise" set. The Brighton rock duo had confirmed earlier in the week that they would be playing a last-minute show at the festival.

Despite frontman Mike Kerr jokingly hoping for rain to draw more attendees, fans flocked to the tent for their 2pm performance. The set opened with 'Out Of The Black', leading to the first major mosh pit of the weekend.

The band's ten-song setlist featured two new tracks, 'Ten Over Ten' and 'Swallow The Bomb', from their upcoming album 'Dead Company'. Kerr expressed his enjoyment of being back on stage, stating, "I love this festival and I’m so glad to be back."

This marks Royal Blood's fourth appearance at Reading and Leeds Festivals, having first played in 2014.
