Former Liverpool forward Mohamed Salah has enjoyed a heartwarming reunion with eight-year-old fan Isaac Kearney in Turkey. Isaac, who lives with Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome, was flown out to meet his hero by Salah's new club, Trabzonspor, and Turkish Airlines.
Footage from the Turkish club shows Isaac approaching Salah during training before they embraced. Isaac also met other Trabzonspor players, including Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana, who is currently on loan at the club and reportedly gave Isaac a pair of gloves.
The young fan later accompanied Salah onto the pitch at Papara Park in Trabzon. This marks their second meeting, as the pair first connected in 2024 when Salah and then-captain Virgil van Dijk surprised Isaac at school. Isaac was also a mascot for a Liverpool Premier League match against Manchester City at Anfield.
Salah, 34, joined Trabzonspor on a two-year contract after nine seasons with Liverpool, where he netted 191 Premier League goals. He made his debut for the Turkish club as a second-half substitute in a 1-1 draw against Kasimpasa on 15 August.
