Scott Eastwood takes on the role of Captain John Castle, a US army officer, in the recently released second world war film, "Lucky Strike." The movie follows Castle after his squadron is killed in a skirmish with Germans, leaving him injured and behind enemy lines in Belgium during the Battle of the Bulge.
Equipped with a portable radio he calls Lassie, Castle navigates his way home. The film includes tense sequences, such as Castle being hidden by a Walloon family and a moment where he plays possum among slain soldiers. Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor also appears in the film.
The review notes Eastwood's performance, highlighting his likable and interesting presence, which is described as different from his father, Clint Eastwood.
