Electric toothbrush brand SURI has launched its new Core 1.0 model, available for £65. This new design is described by the brand as an electric toothbrush for 'effortless everyday brushing', offering a more streamlined version compared to its premium 2.0 model.
Key features of the SURI Core 1.0 include a pressure sensor that alerts users if they brush too hard, and a two-minute timer with 30-second interval buzzes. The battery is designed to last up to four weeks on a single charge, and it includes a button lock for travel.
Each SURI Core 1.0 toothbrush comes with a compact wireless charging pebble, a magnetic mirror mount, and a plant-based head cover. It is available in four colours: haze green, ember orange, nightfall blue, and moonrise grey.
While the Core 1.0 has a slightly lower sonic vibration count (28,000) compared to the 2.0 model (30,000), the cleaning performance is noted as very good for both. The 2.0 model, priced at £105 with a case, features an aluminium body and a UV light case, along with a slightly longer battery life of 34 days compared to the 1.0's 28 days.
Replacement brush heads for both SURI models are available for £14.99 for a pack of three from SURI's website. These heads are made from cornstarch with castor oil bristles, and used heads can be returned to SURI for recycling using supplied compostable, postage-paid envelopes.
