A website has been launched that simulates the desk of Theranos founder Elizabeth Holmes, utilising over a thousand emails, slides, texts, and documents from the United States v. Elizabeth Holmes trial. Extend engineer Bo Lau developed the site to offer a simulated experience of what it might have been like to be the chief executive of Theranos.
The detailed environment, set in 2016, allows users to interact with virtual iPhone and laptop screens to view public court documents. It also includes a simulation of the Theranos Edison machine.
The project also promotes a watch party for an upcoming documentary about Elizabeth Holmes, titled “You Can See Everything,” and the company Extend.
